The bilaterally financed funding scheme GERLS enables Egyptian PhD candidates to complete their degree in Germany under the supervision of German professors. 

Call for GERLS – German Egyptian Research Long-Term Scholarship 2016/17 from 1.10.2016 - 15.12.2016 is now closed!

The Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE) and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) are pleased to announce the 9th Call for the German-Egyptian Research Long Term Scholarship Program (GERLS) for the academic year 2017/2018.

The GERLS Program is provided to candidates who desire to obtaining or completing their PHD in one of the German Universities under the supervision of German professors. The target group of this program will be comprised of Egyptian researchers who generally have been awarded M.A./M.Sc. degrees in the past three years. Kindly note, that the deadline for application is 15th December 2016. The application should be online through the DAAD portal. For more information, please refer to the attached guide “How to apply online?”. You can find detailed information about this scholarship in the attached information sheet. In this regard, we will highly appreciate your support by disseminating the information sheets attached to the GERLS target segments and all candidates who are interested to study and research in Germany.
